Neil Buchanan

Neil has over ten years’ experience in the pensions industry, the last five of which have focused on providing consultancy services to several schemes where he is responsible for maintaining, developing, and strengthening client relationships for a range of trustees and employers with defined benefit pension schemes.

Neil is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and is the actuary for several of our corporate clients, providing work in relation to accounting for pension costs and the provision of de-risking solutions.

With his actuarial background, Neil has extensive experience in pension scheme valuations, as well as ad-hoc project work such as scheme asset-liability modelling, monitoring investment performance and member option exercises.

Neil sits on the Association of Consulting Actuaries Younger Members’ Group, and in a personal capacity, sits on the Board of Governors for a local primary school where he leads the finance sub-committee.
