Simon Woodacre joins Spence as an Investment Manager Researcher. In his new role, he spearheads the entire research process, blending quantitative and qualitative methodologies to evaluate fund managers and asset classes while integrating ESG principles.
His expertise spans various asset classes like fixed income, multi-asset, real estate, equity, and alternatives. Simon’s strengths lie in his comprehensive approach to assessing fund managers, employing diverse techniques such as building investment models and rigorous risk assessment. With 11 years of industry experience, including 7 years in Manager Research, Simon’s journey includes stints at Quilter Cheviot and Cardano Risk Management Ltd, where he covered hedge funds, fixed income, multi-asset, and credit. He began his career at Buck Consultants, focusing on multi-asset coverage.
Outside work, Simon cherishes family time with his wife and daughter, indulges in sports like running, football, and surfing, and nurtures cultural interests through reading, museum visits, and theater outings.
